<p>Amorim endured a tough start to life at Old Trafford, losing 14 of his 27 Premier League games and finishing all the way down in 15th in the league, missing out on European football. Despite the pressure, he’s committed to the long term and wants to build something lasting at United. He admitted last season was tough, but he's ready to turn the page.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Speaking to the media, Amorim said: "Yeah, I want to stay. I want to stay 20 (years). That is my goal, and I truly believe in that. Always do. Something will happen. In some moments, I will be lucky. I had a lot of luck during my career as a manager, and my idea is to stay for many years.</p><p>"But again, we know that the results will dictate that. I know that last season I used up all the credits, but I'm ready to start fresh.</p><p>"I want to be the manager of Manchester United for a while. And I took five years to choose this club, so I don't want to fail."</p>

WHAT AMORIM SAID

<p>Amorim is grateful for the backing he's received from United’s new leadership team, including Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox. He believes Ineos’ vision and strategy can rebuild the club’s identity and competitiveness. With strong financial backing and a long-term plan, he sees the foundation for success being laid.</p><p>He added, "They always show support. And if you try to remember one team, one big team, that lost so many games, and the manager kept his job, you will not find it. So that shows more than words that they support me.</p><p>"I have no doubts because there are some things that you cannot buy, and this club has them: the pedigree, the history, the fans. We have that, I think that is clear. Then the money, we have money. We have money without the Champions League. We'll have money and more money in the future.</p><p>"We are doing everything. You talk with Omar and all these guys, they are making all the strategy to have more money in the future. So that will not be a problem.</p><p>"Then I think it's clearly the culture. If we have a different culture, with all that, with all the pedigree, the money, all these things, we can return to our place, that is clear."</p>

<p>The Red Devils return to Carrington aiming to improve on last season’s poor campaign and deliver immediate progress under Amorim. The Portuguese boss has been very active in the market. Early results in the new season will be key to solidifying his position and proving his long-term vision.</p>
