<p>Stewart went off on Keane during a fiery on-air outburst in December 2021 when speaking on talkSPORT. Following a heated argument between Keane and fellow pundit Jamie Carragher, Stewart criticised the Ireland legend for being "far too aggressive" with his words. The rock legend said: "I think Roy can be a bit of a bully sometimes.</p><p>"I admired him as a player but he's a bit of a bully. I think there's a way of speaking your mind and I think he's far too aggressive. He was an elite player but do you think he could be a good manager with that approach?"</p><p></p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>While Keane did not speak about Sir Stewart's tirade for just over three years, the Manchester United legend has now unleashed his own onslaught on the Glastonbury 2025 headliner, with the Ireland legend telling Stewart to retire after Gary Neville reminded Keane of the incident on the <a href="https://m.skybet.com/" target="_blank">Stick to Football podcast</a>.</p>

<p>The fiery former midfielder did not mince his words, saying: "He has a go at everybody. Who does he think he is?</p><p>"I did nothing, why do you think I did something? Rod Stewart slags everybody off, who does he think he is? He has a go at everybody, he has a go at everybody! Rod Stewart. Who does he think he is? He's not great. Great at what? Singing? I saw him a few years ago, he was rubbish.</p><p>"Rubbish, I swear. He was rubbish that night. It's like we have bad games. I didn't say he's not a good singer, he was just rubbish that night I saw him. (What made him bad?) His voice! He had a bad night. He's pushing on a bit now, there must come a point like a boxer where for a singer you go, 'You've had a good run, enough's enough'.</p><p>"We've had it as players. When do people say to a singer, 'Come on, you've had a good innings, enough's enough, get off the stage'.</p><p>"Get off the stage Roy. Yeah that's right. Get him on here."</p>

WHAT KEANE SAID

<p>The 80-year-old British rock star is set to headline the legends slot at the famous Glastonbury music festival on June 25, with Nile Rodgers and CHIC also taking to the stage. Keane, meanwhile, has had a very successful life over the last few years and it is likely that he will continue on as usual with his punditry duties.</p>
