<p>Head coach Gasperini's priority at Roma is to build upon the current squad, and, as per <a href="https://www.calciomercato.com/news/roma-sfida-alla-juventus-per-wesley-gasperini-lo-voleva-allatala-72764" target="_blank"><em>Calciomercato</em></a>, the Italian have identified Flamengo right-back Wesley as a priority signing for the Giallorossi. The 21-year-old has been on Gasperini's radar since his days at Atalanta.</p>

<p>Wesley has played a prominent role in the Flamengo squad, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2022 and was later also named in the 2024 Brasileiro Serie A Team of the Year. With Wesley, the Roma coach plans to add more technical ability and drive on the wings, a key position in the Europa League winner's tactics.
