<p>The Uruguayan midfielder appeared to fall with little control while attempting to get his head to a corner kick in the fifth minute. As Bentancur landed on the turf, he remained prone, prompting immediate concern among players from both teams. Medics were quickly signalled to attend to the situation, leading to a halt in play for around 10 minutes.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The severity of the incident was underscored when Bentancur required oxygen on the pitch before being carefully moved to a seated position for further assessment. The lengthy stoppage concluded with the player being carried off on a stretcher amid applause from supporters all around the stadium. <p>Manager Ange Postecoglou brought on Brennan Johnson as Bentancur’s replacement. The Welshman was deployed on the right flank, while Dejan Kulusevski adjusted his position, dropping deeper into midfield. Meanwhile, youngster Lucas Bergvall assumed a more defensive midfield position alongside Yves Bissouma, reshaping Spurs’ formation.</p>
