There has been speculation over the former Ajax coach's future due to the club's poor start to the new season. Earlier this month, a board meeting was held to discuss the possibility of sacking Ten Hag. However, at that point, nothing was decided. Last week, reports emerged that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/xavi-man-utd-ex-barcelona-ruben-amorim-coaches-ineos-shortlist-possible-erik-ten-hag-replacements/blt7677e5a81e328320" target="_blank">ex-Barcelona coach Xavi and Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim</a> were on top of a four-man shortlist of candidates to succeed the Dutchman, but GOAL understands the ex-Barcelona boss has no plans to end his sabbatical.
