Both clubs are in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition, raising the possibility that the official announcement could well be delayed. The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals is due to take place on March 15. This year's final will be played at Wembley Stadium on May 24.

Mbappe has scored 21 Ligue 1 goals in just 20 appearances so far this season for PSG. He and Mohamed Bamba (five goals from four appearances) are the only two players in the French top flight with more goals than games this season.
