<a href="https://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/calciomercato/juventus/2024/06/15-128981498/douglas_luiz-juve_quando_si_chiude_il_nodo_mckennie_e_cosa_chiede_iling " target="_blank">Tuttosport</a> claims that personal terms are in place with Luiz, while Juve will hand over a further €20 million (£17m/$21m) in a part-exchange deal that also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/usmnt-star-weston-mckennie-not-enough-douglas-luiz-swap-juventus-add-england-u21-samuel-iling-junior-transfer-trade-aston-villa/blt73c67e24b4a5604c" target="_blank">includes American midfielder McKennie – with only a year left to run on his current contract – and England U21 winger Samuel Iling-Junior</a>.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Iling-Junior, who has taken in 45 appearances for Juventus across the last two campaigns, is said to be seeking game time assurances from Villa boss Unai Emery before committing to a switch that will see him return to his homeland.

McKennie is also reported to be demanding a settlement fee from Juve before agreeing to leave, as he still has 12 months to run on his deal with the Serie A giants. If the relevant compromises can be reached, then a complicated agreement involving three players – and potentially Lehmann as well – should be completed and McKennie will return to the Premier League after previously <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/usmnt-weston-mckennie-benefited-bad-showing-letting-some-people-down-leeds-fresh-start-juventus/bltf59fdd8860ce5af6" target="_blank">spending time in that division on loan at Leeds</a>.
