<p>According to <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1882190952837882031" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a>, Juventus will pay a €5 million (£3.8m/$5.2m) loan fee for Veiga’s services, with an additional €1m potentially due in bonuses based on performance. The agreement does not include a purchase option, ensuring Veiga’s eventual return to Chelsea later this year.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Chelsea had indicated their willingness to loan out Veiga, provided that both playing opportunities and financial terms were met. While Marseille and Borussia Dortmund were among the clubs initially interested in securing Veiga, Juventus ultimately met the criteria laid out by the Premier League side to lure him to Turin. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The Italian club has been dealing with significant setbacks, including long-term anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries to centre-back Bremer and left-back Juan Cabal. Additionally, club captain Danilo has been omitted from recent matchday squads, with head coach Thiago Motta suggesting the veteran could depart the team. Hence, Veiga’s ability to adapt to multiple roles may be a major asset for Juventus.</p>
