Raphinha set to sign new Barcelona contract as reward for stunning 2024-25 campaign with La Liga and Copa del Rey champions

<p>As per <a href="https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1924881651516981728" target="_blank">Fabrizio Romano</a>, Barcelona and Raphinha have reached an agreement to extend his contract with the club. The Liga giants are extremely happy with the squad and management they currently have in place as they plan for more contract extensions in the coming days, with the Brazilian's deal expected to be announced before the end of the week.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>After two poor seasons, Raphinha made an exceptional comeback under manager Hansi Flick, who turned the flop signing into <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ballon-dor-2025-power-rankings/bltd009fae5576d751f" target="_blank">one of the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or</a>. The Catalan club's board is happy with the player and have extended his contract to the summer of 2027, with multiple other contract extensions for players, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/barcelona-hansi-flick-contract-decision-debut-season-key-meeting-after-champions-league-semi-final-inter/blt55b6954e3c342bde" target="_blank">as well as Flick, in the pipeline</a>.</p>

<p>Things aren't looking as bright for striker Ferran Torres, who, apparently, finds himself out of favour under the current management Indeed, despite his role as a prominent impact sub, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/barcelona-forward-transfer-exit-la-liga-champions-set-price-tag-50m/blt0bbce10797b49b83#cs10adac4cbf57f5f6" target="_blank">the club has set a price tag of €50 million (£42m/$56m) for the Spain international</a>.</p>
