After the game, the 29-year-old paid a visit to the dressing room. The report adds that Arteta was even angrier than his players but mindful of keeping his composure.

The North London club were desperate to add an attacker to their ranks in the recent transfer window and had shortlisted several top names. However, they missed out on signing players like Nico Williams, Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak and eventually roped in a seasoned Premier League campaigner in Sterling. The team, however, believes that the ex-Chelsea star will have a lot to offer during his brief stay at the Emirates Stadium.
