Sterling was told that he had no future at Chelsea and was <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/enzo-maresca-raheem-sterling-chelsea-bomb-squad-transfer-window/blt23a0596a4479da5f" target="_blank">exiled from first-team training by Enzo Maresca.</a>

In the next couple of weeks, Arsenal's fitness trainers will put him through the paces at London Colney to get him ready for when Premier League football resumes on September 14. The international break arrives at an opportune moment for Sterling as he would look to make the most of this crucial two-week window to hit the ground running against Tottenham.

When quizzed about Sterling's fitness, Arteta revealed: "Yes, we’ll have to see and speak to him on what he’s been doing and how he’s feeling about it."We have to try to find quick wins to get him up to speed as quick as possible and him understanding what we are looking for from him and the dynamics of the team. We will use this time to do that and as soon as possible, get him involved."

WHAT ARTETA SAID

Arsenal have secured <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/chelsea-set-to-foot-huge-chunk-raheem-sterling-wages-arsenal-loan/blt8380648a973b893a#csb1ae564f71eb17b2" target="_blank">Sterling following a stellar piece of business</a> with Chelsea as they will reportedly bear "significantly less than half" of his contracted wages which is believed to be between £300,000 and £350,000 ($394,000-$460,000) per week.

Sterling will look to find his feet as quickly as possible in his new surroundings so that he could deliver the goods expected of him. His debut could be in the fierce north London derby on September 15 against bitter rivals Tottenham.
