PSG player ratings vs Brest: Kylian Mbappe gets desperate defence out of jail while Warren Zaire-Emery again shows how special he can be

Kylian Mbappe played hero for Paris Saint-Germain yet again, scoring in the 89th minute to lift his side to a 3-2 over Brest, despite being pegged back from taking an early 2-0 lead. The home side worked their way back into the game, and perhaps deserved a point. Mbappe, though, had other ideas.

Teenage midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery gave the Parisians the lead inside 20 minutes, evading two defenders with a neat touch before lashing the ball into the top corner from outside the box. Mbappe added a second shortly after, running in behind the Brest backline, before cutting inside his man and finding the bottom corner.

Steve Mounie pulled one back for the home side, meeting an angled cross with a guided header that bounced over the outstretched arm of Gianluigi Donnarumma. Brest then got a second shortly after half-time, Jeremy Le Douaron flicking a header into the far corner with Donnarumma beaten.

Inevitably, though, Mbappe got his chance late on. The Frenchman stepped up from the penalty spot in the 89th minute, and though his initial effort was saved, he tucked the rebound into the far corner to snatch three points for his side.
