<p>Guardiola is currently enduring the worst run of form in his managerial career, with City failing to win any of their last six games. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-city-player-ratings-vs-tottenham-erling-haaland-savinho-josko-gvardiol/bltc1947d13b97fc551#csf9105ca8cd5ec9a6" target="_blank">They have most recently been thumped 4-0 by Tottenham</a>, and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-city-player-ratings-vs-feyenoord-erling-haaland-josko-gvardiol-ederson/bltce82c8a88369c378" target="_blank">threw away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Feyenoord</a>, in what is fast becoming a crisis. Now, Guardiola says that if he cannot turn the ship around, he will have to leave.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/pep-guardiola-premier-league-title-man-city-lose-liverpool-4-0-tottenham/blt36dea94a111521ba" target="_blank">The former Barcelona boss has already warned his players</a> that they cannot afford to lose to Liverpool on Sunday if they are to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title, and believes defeat could result in City merely challenging for Champions League qualification. He signed a new contract until 2026 earlier this season, but it remains to be seen if he will complete it.</p>

<p>Guardiola said: "I don’t want to stay in the place if I feel like I’m a problem. I don’t want to stay here just because the contract is there.</p><p>"My chairman knows it. I said to him, ‘Give me the chance to try come back’, and especially when everybody comes back (from injury) and see what happens. After, if I’m not able to do it, we have to change because, of course, (the past) nine years are dead.</p><p>"More than ever I ask to my hierarchy, give me the chance. Will it be easy for me now? No. I have the feeling that still I have a job to do and I want to do it."</p>

WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID

<p>Guardiola will be desperate for his side to beat Arne Slot's Premier League leaders on Sunday. The Reds currently sit eight points clear of the champions.</p>
