<p>The World Cup-winning French midfielder is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/paul-pogba-juventus-over-french-midfielder-free-agent-contract-termination-heads-miami-train-next-move/blt236ed8ce0c70635c" target="_blank">without a club after leaving Juventus in November</a>. The Frenchman is now able to return to football after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/paul-pogba-doping-ban-ends-mls-saudi-arabia-reduced-suspension/bltea9abf469010d33f" target="_blank">serving an 18-month ban for a banned substance</a>. His initial ban of four years was reduced on appeal.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>As a free agent, Pogba has been training alone since April, trying to regain full fitness before joining a new club this summer. He has been linked with moves to the MLS and the Saudi Pro League, while Ligue 1 giants <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/paul-pogba-marseille-transfer-man-utd-mason-greenwood-ligue-1/blt173153f106d27d69" target="_blank">Marseille were also being considered as a possible option</a> for the 32-year-old, where he could have reunited with former Manchester United team-mate Mason Greenwood.</p>

Instead, the player is now being offered to the French club's rivals, AS Monaco. </p>
