<p>The World Cup-winning Frenchman has not graced a competitive fixture since September 2023. At that point, he was stung with a worldwide ban from football. An <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-why-paul-pogba-doping-ban-reduced-cas-confirm-four-year-suspension-juventus-ex-man-utd-midfielder-cut-18-months/bltde5a6a37cc2133af" target="_blank">18-month doping suspension has now been served</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Pogba was cleared to resume his professional career in March, but he remains a free agent. The 32-year-old has been linked with various club, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/old-stuff-dust-man-utd-urged-avoid-signing-tarnished-paul-pogba-third-time-ruben-amorim-told-bring-players-big-balls/bltec371cf9511d7e95" target="_blank">including former employers Manchester United</a>. Marseille, along with teams in MLS and the Saudi Pro League, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/free-agent-paul-pogba-advised-sun-mason-greenwood-man-utd-marseille-good-move-england/blt25ff0b67f8ff09a1" target="_blank">have also been credited with interest</a>.</p>

<p>Questions have been asked of Pogba’s fitness after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but he continues to work on an individual training programme. He is in no rush to land another contract and will remain patient while trying to prove his worth.</p>
