According to the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14831121/Wrexham-striker-Paul-Mullin-talks-join-Wigan-loan-frozen-manager-Phil-Parkinson.html" target="_blank"><em>Daily Mail, </em></a>Mullin is on the verge of leaving the Welsh club, with <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/why-wrexham-difficult-offload-110-goal-paul-mullin-one-transfer-option-makes-sense/blt315e28fc435942e3" target="_blank">negotiations underway for a loan switch to League One</a> side Wigan Athletic.</p>

<p>Since arriving at Wrexham in 2021, Mullin has been nothing short of talismanic. His remarkable goal tally of 110 strikes helped the club secure back-to-back promotions and sparked a rise from the National League to the brink of the Championship. The 30-year-old forward’s commitment on the pitch and his eye for goal made him a fan favourite and earned him <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/trust-less-paul-mullin-annoyed-wrexham-boss-phil-parkinson-imminent-transfer/blt433d3edb6e5d79b1" target="_blank">three consecutive Player of the Year awards.</a></p>
