Patrick Vieira lined up as possible Inter boss as Como put up a fight to keep Cesc Fabregas

<p>According to a report by <a href="https://www.calciomercato.com/news/inter-patrick-vieira-e-sempre-piu-lalternativa-a-fabregas-ha-gia-44005?_gl=1*1i7ddi5*_up*MQ..*_ga*NDg0MTM1NDY2LjE3NDkwNzcyNDY.*_ga_H4MEPFEPQD*czE3NDkwNzcyNDYkbzEkZzAkdDE3NDkwNzcyNDYkajYwJGwwJGgw" target="_blank"><em>Calcio Mercato</em></a>, Vieira is one of the names Inter are considering if they fail to acquire the services of Fabregas, as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/cesc-fabregas-not-leave-como-reports-inter-agreement-president-insists-long-term-plan/blt990ba189b91ce6d6" target="_blank">Como are desperate to keep him at the helm</a>. Vieira is contracted at Genoa till 2026, and a sum of €500k needs to be paid by the first week of July to relieve him of his duties if he is to take the job. The Nerazzurri are said to be in contact with the 48-year-old.</p>

Fabregas is being considered a likely candidate after he guided Como to a 10th-place finish in their first season back in Serie A after 21 years. However, with Vieira having played for the club before as well as his recent feats at Genoa and Strasbourg, the Frenchman, too, is on their radar.</p>
