<p>The Brazilian forward had to be <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/nightmare-arsenal-gabriel-jesus-stretchered-off-knee-agony-tangle-bruno-fernandes-fa-cup-man-utd/bltdf89b3ef2fd738fb" target="_blank">stretchered off the pitch in the final moments of the first half</a> in Arsenal's FA Cup clash against Manchester United on Sunday. <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6057562/2025/01/14/transfer-latest-arsenal-manchester-united-liverpool-real-madrid-barcelona/?source=emp_shared_article" target="_blank"><em>The Athletic</em></a> reports that Jesus could face a long time out due to a suspected anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The report adds that the injury is to his left knee instead of the right, on which he had surgery in 2022. Jesus underwent scans on Monday, and further tests will be conducted on Tuesday morning to determine the extent of his injury and how long he will remain sidelined. The incident happened in the 38th minute of the third-round FA Cup tie when Jesus made a clumsy tackle on United captain Fernandes only to injure his knee. He was unable to continue and Raheem Sterling replaced him on the pitch.</p>

<p>Jesus' injury may force the Gunners to raid the transfer market in search of an extra attacking option. I understand you guys asking. I cannot love our players more. I focus very much on the ones that we have to perform at the highest level, that’s it. The rest is not in our hands, my hands."</p>
