Nico Williams gives 'clear' statement on future amid reports Barcelona aim to sign Athletic Club star

Reports have emerged suggesting Barca boss Hansi Flick has made the 21-year-old his top attacking priority for the summer transfer window. However, Williams has made it clear he is happy at Athletic Club, quashing the transfer rumours and reaffirming his loyalty to his current team.

"I am very happy in Bilbao and that is all I have to say. Yes, I am quite clear, in the end, as I have told you, Athletic is my home. I am very happy, and what I want to do is focus on the Euros one hundred percent and for the rest I don't know what's going on."

WHAT WILLIAMS SAID

Williams has been with Athletic Club since 2013, progressing through their youth ranks to become a key player in the senior team. He recently signed a new contract at the club and bagged eight goals and 17 assists in all competitions last season.
