<p>Williams has told <a href="https://www.elmundo.es/deportes/futbol/2024/10/13/670956ccfc6c8322028b45c0.html " target="_blank"><em>El Mundo</em></a> of how the keys to a supercar ended up in his possession: “I had to work hard for it. I won a bet that my brother and I had with my mother's permission. If I won the Eurocup, they would give me permission to buy the car and look, in the end I bought it when I was 22, I've been driving a normal car for a long time. It's a prize that I wanted for a long time because I love cars, but they made me work hard for it, as it should be.”</p>

WHAT NICO WILLIAMS SAID

<p>Continental success has allowed Williams’ stock to soar, but he claims to still have his feet planted firmly on the ground – as club team-mate Inaki would not allow him to get caught up in his own hype. Williams added: “I really think I'm the same person I've always been. My personality and way of being haven't changed at all, I do the things I used to do before and I think I'm taking this whole boom very naturally. Inaki hasn't had to scold me much!”</p>
