<p>According to <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14970055/Newcastle-Benjamin-Sesko-deal-RB-Lepzig-Man-United.html" target="_blank"><em>the Daily Mail</em></a>, Newcastle are pushing ahead to sign the 22-year-old after being 'given encouragement' to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/newcastle-benjamin-sesko-transfer-package-vision-rejects-man-utd/blt330f53f84e11e135" target="_blank">sign the striker</a>. The report adds the Slovenia international is Newcastle's top attacking target, with Eddie Howe's team keen to move quickly to agree terms with Leipzig over a deal. <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6531675/2025/08/04/newcastle-sesko-leipzig-transfer-news-update/" target="_blank"><em>The Athletic</em></a> also claim the Magpies have raised their bid to €80 million (£69.6m/$92.5m) after their first offer was rejected by Leipzig.</p>

It appears the Magpies are ready to go all-in on Sesko but <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/man-utd-attempt-hijack-newcastle-benjamin-sesko-move-rb-leipzig-striker-both-clubs-wants-join/blt6f2d83ee467ecc63" target="_blank">face competition from Manchester United</a>. The forward is reportedly willing to head to St James' Park, while the Red Devils are yet to table an offer for his services.</p>
