WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Although the signing may have leaked, Miami fans will be happy to be bringing in a quality defender in Martinez. The 11-cap Paraguay international is a two-time league champion with River Plate and will sure up the defence alongside the likes of Jordi Alba in the near future.</p>

<p>Although he represents Paraguay at international level, Martinez was born in Buenos Aires in Argentina.
