The report adds that Conte is 'crazy' about signing the Uruguayan, that negotiations have started already, and the Reds are open to their transfer exits. </p>

<p>Napoli are looking to strengthen their squad after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/napoli-champions-scott-mctominay-romelu-lukaku-on-target-antonio-conte-serie-a-title-season-inter-como/bltc916d08806295346" target="_blank">winning the Serie A title</a> this season, something they have done with the purchase of <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/kevin-de-bruyne-joins-napoli-serie-a-club-antonio-conte-confirm-signing-free-transfer/blt2cd863e96476433f" target="_blank">Manchester City legend De Bruyne</a>. But after spending £85 million ($115.5m) on Nunez in 2022 and £12.5m ($17m) on <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/federico-chiesa-liverpool-done-agreement-reached-four-year-contract-anfield-juventus-star-reds-surprise-signing/blt8bb384230ade4153" target="_blank">Chiesa last year</a>, Liverpool will want to recoup as much as they can from these outlays - and that may test Napoli's resolve.</p>
