<p>Napoli are ready to go out all for Nunez this summer as they aim to strengthen their squad, according to the <a href="http://corrieredellosport.it"><em>Corriere dello Sport.</em></a> Napoli had <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/48-hours-napoli-decide-darwin-nunez-deal-liverpool-limbo-serie-a-champions-striker-options/blt242c04ad556aaa4b" target="_blank">set a deadline on the transfer</a> and have now decided the Uruguay international is indeed worth pursuing following a meeting between club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and Nunez's agent Fali Ramadani.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Nunez is open to a move away after slipping down the pecking order at Anfield. The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/darwin-nunez-transfer-preference-revealed-liverpool-pushes-to-leave-arne-slot-side/blt3bfeaf2757283a81" target="_blank">forward is said to be eager to work with Antonio Conte in Italy</a>, meaning it's now down to the two clubs to strike an agreement. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/kevin-de-bruyne-joins-napoli-serie-a-club-antonio-conte-confirm-signing-free-transfer/blt2cd863e96476433f" target="_blank">Napoli have already signed Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City</a> but will be hoping they can add another Premier League star to their squad in time for the new campaign.</p><p></p>

<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/liverpool-complete-nunez-transfer-64m-benfica/bltb9f4fc8cc1230c02" target="_blank">Liverpool signed Nunez for an initial £64 million ($79m)</a>&nbsp;and will not let him leave on the cheap. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano offered some insight on his YouTube channel: "Napoli at the moment still want Darwin Nunez, but feel that the transfer fee is too high. Liverpool want more than €65m [£55.6m], probably in excess of €70m [£59.9m] for Darwin Nunez. At the moment, Napoli believe that the numbers of this deal are excessive, too expensive,” transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel."</p><p><strong></strong></p>
