Chelsea are eager to sell Lukaku this summer following his season-long loan at Roma, but they are insisting any interested party will <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/chelsea-set-price-romelu-lukaku-bid-sell-belgium/bltcdb5004c494719ab#cs96bf85cfebe5f83b" target="_blank">have to match the £38 million ($48m) release clause</a> in his contract if they wish to land him.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Having just hired Antonio Conte as their new head coach, Napoli are eager to reunite the Belgian striker with the manager he worked alongside at Inter and <a href="https://www.repubblica.it/sport/calcio/mercato/2024/06/07/news/chiesa_napoli_trattativa_juventus_zirkzee_milan-423188618" target="_blank">La Repubblica</a> reports they have made an offer worth €15m (£13m/$16m) plus another €3m (£2.5m/$3.2m) in bonuses.

Lukaku has reportedly expressed a willingness to join Conte's team, but AC Milan have also shown interest in the former Manchester United striker. The 31-year-old has also <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/romelu-lukaku-chelsea-hints-at-snubbing-ac-milan-napoli/blt64781f7d6d62482b" target="_blank">made clear he wants to return to Anderlecht</a> in the near future and suggested he is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/romelu-lukaku-explains-scared-join-al-hilal-admits-open-saudi-arabia-transfer/blt1a08ef85e831136d" target="_blank">open to moving to Saudi Arabia</a>, too.
