<p>Gibbs-White has been at the centre of an ongoing transfer saga this summer; <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/tottenham-surprise-transfer-move-nottingham-forest-morgan-gibbs-white/blt908a39c3f676209b" target="_blank">Tottenham triggered his £60 million ($81m) release clause</a>, but Forest have since contemplated legal action after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/why-nottingham-forest-owner-evangelos-marinakis-wants-morgan-gibbs-white-to-join-man-city-fury-over-tottenham-bid-revealed/bltbae2da2267b68c9e" target="_blank">complaining the bid was as a result of an "illegal approach"</a>. It remains unclear if they will be able to stop Gibbs-White from moving to north London, but he is now in Portugal for Forest's pre-season, per <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6512665/2025/07/24/morgan-gibbs-white-forest-transfer-tour/" target="_blank">The Athletic</a>. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Forest will play Fulham and Estoril Praia in Portugal, and also played in their first pre-season friendly against Monaco. After that game, he was filmed waving to the Forest support, before making a heart gesture. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Gibbs-White has two years remaining on his contract and some reporting has suggested that Spurs could table a new bid for the 25-year-old, although it is unclear what kind of reaction that would elicit from Nuno Espirito Santo's side. </p>
