<p>According to journalist <a href="https://x.com/JacobsBen/status/1915131826575679704" target="_blank"><em>Ben Jacobs</em></a>, Al-Hilal have retained the central budget allocated to try to sign Salah - who just penned a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mohamed-salah-stays-liverpool-confirm-new-deal-egyptian-king-contract/blt625460e1eefc582d" target="_blank">new two-year deal at Anfield</a>. He adds that that will now be put towards a new star name, with the Saudi Pro League team keen to add a marquee signing ahead of this summer's Club World Cup.</p>
