<p>German publication <a href="https://sportbild.bild.de/fussball/fc-bayern-muenchen/mathys-tel-welcher-bundesligist-das-bayern-juwel-ausleihen-will-6729df03ebdb8724738e903a" target="_self">BILD</a> have reported that Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel could be heading towards a January exit from the Allianz Arena, with Stuttgart seemingly interested in acquiring him on loan should certain conditions be met. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Tel has played only 224 minutes across seven appearances in all competitions this season, which includes just two starts. After a breakout 2023-24 season, Tel was expected to take a leap under new manager Vincent Kompany. However, his progression as one of the jewels of the team has stalled this campaign, which has opened the doors to a possible loan move in the upcoming winter transfer window. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Tel had signed a contract extension until 2029 in March earlier this year. But recent developments point towards a future away from Munich. As a consequence of Tel failing to find his feet under Kompany, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/harry-kane-under-threat-bayern-munich-successor-england-captain-contract-2027/blt69ff6a7479ef540a#cs7ed551b0e6bde15d" target="_self">the Bavarians are now looking for a successor for Harry Kane</a>, who will turn 32 next summer. </p>
