<p>Marseille have agreed a deal to sign Igor Paixao in a club-record transfer worth around €35 million (£30m). The Brazilian's imminent arrival has led to speculation that the Ligue 1 side could now part ways with Greenwood. The former Manchester United forward has attracted "strong interest" from Saudi Arabia and could command a hefty fee of around €50m (£43m), which would be a club record sale, according to <a href="https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Igor-paixao-recrue-la-plus-chere-de-l-om-en-attendant-le-depart-de-mason-greenwood/1581561" target="_blank"><em>L'Equipe</em></a>.</p><p></p>

<p>Greenwood has attracted interest previously after a prolific campaign with Marseille. The 23-year-old finished the 2024-25 season as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/mason-greenwood-emotional-message-marseille-fans-joint-top-scorer-ligue-1/blt6ba83e44ff159043" target="_blank">Ligue 1's joint top scorer</a> alongside Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele on 21 goals.
