The <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/arsenal-girona-viktor-tsygankov-summer-transfer-competition-ac-milan/blta31491a11489f8f9#cs5aa3bd1acd912745" target="_blank">Red Devils are ready to compete with Arsenal</a> to secure the signature of 26-year-old Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov from Girona in the ongoing transfer window. Per <a href="https://as.com/futbol/primera/la-premier-vuelve-a-la-carga-por-tsygankov-n/" target="_blank">AS</a>, Erik ten Hag has already spoken to the player and has informed him that he wants him at Old Trafford in the upcoming season.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Girona are keen on retaining the services of the star attacker after he enjoyed a successful 2023-24 campaign with the club. Tsygankov appeared in 34 matches across all competitions where he scored eight goals and contributed with seven assists. The Catalan club is expected to offer a new deal to the player, who is currently on an extended holiday after Euro 2024.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Red Devils are yet to submit a formal bid for the attacker, however, they are reportedly prepared to trigger the release clause in his existing contract which is set at €30m (£25m).
