According to <a href="https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Milan/11-08-2024/milan-fofana-e-la-trattativa-con-il-monaco.shtml" target="_blank">La Gazzetta dello Sport,</a> Fofana wants a move to Milan this summer or next - when he is out of contract at Monaco. The midfielder reportedly turned down a West Ham transfer and he is ready to do the same if Erik ten Hag's side come calling.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The French international has reportedly already said yes to a four-year contract at Milan but Monaco are a tough nut to crack. If the 25-year-old does go this summer, the report adds he is unlikely to be sold for anything less than the £17m ($22m) Juventus paid to sign <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/juventus-plot-move-son-legendary-former-defender-real-madrid/blt348a07b0773a4091" target="_blank">Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram</a> in July.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Fofana began his career at Strasbourg before moving to Monaco in 2020. Since then, the box-to-box midfielder - who is known for his strength, stamina and defensive capabilities - has scored seven goals in 175 appearances and accumulated 21 France caps along the way.
