Just when Manchester United thought they were turning the corner, they reverted to their very worst version of themselves and were blown apart by Bournemouth on Saturday, losing 3-0 at home in embarrassing fashion.
Erik ten Hag's side should have been galvanised by a hugely encouraging win over Chelsea last time out, but instead looked shaky from start to finish and were played off the park by Andoni Iraola's brave and dynamic side.
Dominic Solanke tapped the visitors into an early lead following a lightning quick break before Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi scored headers in the second half. Bournemouth thought they were about to record the biggest win of the season at Old Trafford when Dango Ouattara added a fourth in added time, but VAR took mercy on United.
Most home fans had already left Old Trafford at that point though, fed up with the shockingly bad performance they had just witnessed.
