After <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/joshua-zirkzee-incoming-when-man-utd-expect-complete-eur40m-transfer-bologna-forward/blt41f79b56d3f71793" target="_blank">finalising a deal for Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee</a>, the club will now hold a recruitment meeting where they will discuss other deals for the ongoing summer transfer window.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The club have been <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/erik-ten-hag-matthijs-de-ligt-transfer-swoop-man-utd-misstep-bayern-munich-defender-backwards-since-leaving-ajax/blt80793dba77e38ff2" target="_blank">in talks to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich</a>, while they will consider placing a second bid for Everton centre defender Jarrad Branthwaite. They are also looking for competition for Luke Shaw in the left-back position and therefore could go after Chilwell.
