Despite scoring for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-player-ratings-vs-brighton-marcus-rashford-casemiro/blt72c7615b11f6482f" target="_blank">United in their 2-1 loss at Brighton</a> last weekend, manager Ten Hag dropped Amad to the bench and Alejandro Garnacho took his spot on the right wing for the Liverpool clash at Old Trafford on Sunday. Despite Amad and Garnacho having more goal contributions this season, Rashford once again retained his place in the starting line-up. Many United fans have taken aim at the ex-Ajax boss, with some saying he "doesn't have the b*lls" to drop Rashford.

WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Prior to the visit of Arne Slot's Liverpool, Garnacho had scored one goal in the Community Shield and bagged one Premier League assist, while Amad had a goal to his name, too. Rashford is yet to get off the mark and his performances have not been as impressive as the aforementioned duo. Following an underwhelming season last term, where he scored just eight goals and bagged six assists, Rashford is under pressure to recapture the form he showed in 2022-23. If the England man - <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/marcus-rashford-jack-grealish-harry-maguire-26-man-england-squad-missed-out-euro-2024/blt4754f73f94946432" target="_blank">who has lost his place in the international side in recent months</a> - doesn't rediscover his best level, his place in the starting line-up will increasingly come into question.

The Premier League will have a pause for the international break before returning in mid-September. United travel to Southampton on September 14, whereas Liverpool host Nottingham Forest on the same day.
