Man Utd eye €52m AC Milan target if they fail with 'super strikers' summer transfer

<p>According to Florence newspaper Corriere Fiorentino, via <a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-want-super-striker-but-have-e52m-back-up-option-just-in-case/" target="_blank">Sport Witness</a>, United and Milan have Fiorentina striker <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-add-ex-premier-league-flop-to-transfer-shortlist-as-red-devils-seek-new-striker/blt98ae9ebe768e254c" target="_blank">Moise Kean on their transfer shortlist</a> this summer. The Red Devils are said to be trying to sign one of the 'super strikers' on the market but if not, they can turn to Kean - who has a €52m (£44.5m) release clause. Those super strikers are not named but may include Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. </p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>United are in desperate need of a clinical striker after Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee failed to fire in front of goal this season. The Red Devils <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/rasmus-hojlund-breaks-silence-future-amid-talk-leave-man-utd-inter-gbp40m-transfer/blt8e527c8b996c221a" target="_blank">may try and cash in on the faltering forwards</a> and perhaps Kean - who scored 25 goals for Fiorentina this term - would be the right man to lead their attack. However, that is no easy task.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The report adds that Fiorentina are hoping the Italy international, who has reportedly been offered a €15m (£12.8m) salary by Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah, stays at the Serie A team for next season after reigniting his career there. </p>
