<p><a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35307129/tottenham-bryan-mbeumo-frank-transfer/" target="_blank"><em>The Sun</em></a> report that Tottenham are trying to hijack United's pursuit of Mbeumo - with hopes that <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/marco-silva-thomas-frank-tottenham-job-roberto-de-zerbi-rejects-spurs-replace-ange-postecoglou/blt76749f360bd3a101" target="_blank">landing Brentford boss Thomas Frank</a> as well could sway a deal. The Red Devils are preparing a new offer after their <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/man-utd-improved-bid-bryan-mbeumo-lure-attacker-brentford/blt5f28364792f64a87#cs0a1df6832b727412" target="_blank">£55 million ($74.4m) bid</a> for the winger was rejected but Spurs may match a potential £60m ($81m) proposal going forward.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Just when it looked like Mbeumo could head to United, Tottenham appear to have thrown a spanner in the works. Spurs are currently looking for a new manager after <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/spurs-sack-ange-postecoglou-daniel-levy-thomas-frank/blte3d6a132dd72b55b" target="_blank">sacking head coach Ange Postecoglou,</a> and now it seems they want to secure a double Brentford swoop with Frank and Mbeumo. Reports add that Tottenham technical director Johan Lange, who worked with Frank at Danish club Lyngby, will play a key role in negotiations.</p>

<p>Cameroon international Mbeumo scored a total of 20 goals in the Premier League in the 2024-25 season, with the 25-year-old only behind Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Manchester City's Erling Haaland, and Newcastle United's Alexander Isak in the scoring charts.</p>
