<p>Manchester City's defensive woes have been hurting Pep Guardiola's tactical setup this season as the defending Premier League champions are currently sixth in the league standings with just 10 wins in 20 games as they have conceded 29 goals. The 2023 Champions League winners are set to sign Reis and Lens' Abdukodir Khusanov to shore up their defence. </p>

<p>After the deal is finalised, Reis will officially surpass Lucas Beraldo as the most expensive Brazilian defender in history. Paris Saint-Germain paid €20 million (£16.8m/$20.5m) to acquire Beraldo from Sao Paulo in 2024.  </p>
