Man City player ratings vs Crystal Palace: What just happened?! Sloppy treble winners throw it away in what could be a costly slip in Premier League title race

Manchester City have won so many trophies over the last few years that they have started to commit one of football's greatest sins - forgetting that matches last 90 minutes.

Pep Guardiola's side were at their dominant best for most of the game against Crystal Palace, monopolising possession and taking their chances to hold a 2-0 lead thanks to Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis, looking in cruise control in their last game before heading out to the Club World Cup.

But towards the end of the game they began to start thinking about what they would be packing for Saudi Arabia instead of seeing out the game and Jean-Philippe Mateta struck with Palace's first shot on target. The three points did not look in danger, however, until Palace broke in added time and were awarded a penalty when Phil Foden caught Mateta.

Michael Olise - who City wanted to sign last summer before eventually turning to Jeremy Doku - kept his cool, giving Palace a point they barely deserved and knocking the Christmas stuffing out of the treble winners.
