<p>Back-to-back promotions to the third tier of English football is something fans could only dream of when Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney first took over. The Red Dragons will need to recruit some more serious firepower if they are to compete with some huge clubs in 2024-25 and it may be sad to see some popular figures leave, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-announce-huge-change-wrexham/bltc77dfbefe5d3130f" target="_blank">but it is a necessary process to ensure progress for the club.</a></p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>At 31, Young has limited time left as a professional and must move carefully. He could opt to follow Wrexham into League One and look for a contract there, or remain in League Two where he knows he can perform as a standout player.</p>
