For years, PSG's identity has been tied to the towering presence of world-renowned talents and superstars such as Neymar, Messi, and Mbappe. Throughout the 2023-24 season, Luis Enrique often faced a barrage of questions about <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jude-bellingham-addresses-tension-kylian-mbappe-vinicius-junior-rodrygo-real-madrid-champions-league-stuttgart/blt73be4c3744fceb4b" target="_blank">Mbappe's future as journalists </a>tried to glean insight into whether the French forward would stay at PSG or make the long-rumoured switch to Real Madrid. The constant speculation surrounding Mbappe clearly weighed on the coach, who expressed his frustration more than once at being continually asked about the topic.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Now that Mbappe has finally left, Luis Enrique seems relieved to shift the focus away from individual players and towards the team as a whole. Speaking after PSG’s narrow win against Girona in their Champions League opener, the manager told <a href="https://tntsports.com.br/videos/luis_enrique_pxs-jogo_16x9-vf20240918mp4.html" target="_blank">TNT Sports Brasil</a>: "Yes, there's a star, a star that shines more brightly than anything else, that is the team. That is the star, the team. It's amazing. It is a feeling that I try to instil in my players. You see it on the pitch, one for all and all for one, like the Three Musketeers. That is marvellous in a team sport."

PSG’s early performances this season suggest that the transition to a team-oriented approach is clearly paying off. The French giants have enjoyed a flawless start to their domestic campaign, winning all of their matches and scoring 13 goals in just four games.
