According to <a href="https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/luis-diaz-gusta-imposible-101339221" target="_blank">SPORT</a>, Diaz would like to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window as the Catalan club look for vital reinforcements ahead of next season. Barca intend to recruit two or three players in the upcoming window, with the winger and midfielder positions currently a priority. The Colombian star has been heavily linked with a move in recent months and reports have since emerged regarding his desire to join the Spanish giants.

According to Colombian outlet El Heraldo, Liverpool have slapped an <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/liverpool-slap-eye-watering-price-luis-diaz-meeting-barcelona-president-joan-laporta-transfer-talks/blta43df3fe55761765" target="_blank">eye-watering price-tag </a>of between €120-€145 million (£102m-£123m/$131m-164m) on Diaz if Barcelona did want to secure the signing. Ligue 1 giants PSG had also been credited with an interest as they prepare for the imminent departure of Kylian Mbappe this summer. The player is contracted until 2027 and has been a vital part of the squad throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
