<p>The Reds now enjoy an eleven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table after Arsenal went down against West Ham and the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-player-ratings-vs-man-city-mohamed-salah-dominik-szoboszlai/bltf1f4f62ed6ac1cc9" target="_blank">Merseyside club comfortably beat Manchester City 2-0</a> last weekend. They are on course to lift the top-division title for a record-equalling 20 times and if they eventually manage to achieve the feat, they will reportedly pocket a bonus of £2 million ($2.5m) from Nike, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6156484/2025/02/24/liverpool-premier-league-title-bonus-nike/" target="_blank"><em>The Atheltic</em></a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>As part of their five-year deal with Nike - which was signed in 2020 - the sports goods manufacturing company are obligated to pay out if the team win the Premier League. Nike will also pay another £2m if Liverpool reach the final of the Champions League and £4m if they win the European title in Munich on May 31. In the Champions League, the six-time winners are scheduled to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their round of 16 fixture in the French capital on March 5.</p><p></p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>Nike's contract with the Reds expires at the end of the 2024/25 campaign as from next season <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-adidas-kit-deal-worth-twice-as-much-as-nike-contract/bltee463f02b728ae3b#csca7ca2164e42319d" target="_blank">Liverpool will be donning Adidas kits</a>. Last year, the Premier League side entered into a deal with the German firm which will see the club earn £60m a season, starting next summer.</p>
