Over the course of the last couple of seasons, Koopemeiners' stocks have been growing and the Dutch midfielder has been linked with Thiago Motta's Juventus. However, as per <a href="https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-pole-position-signing-club-favour-selling-player-reds-rival-awaiting-offers/" target="_blank">Gazzetta dello Sport</a>, Liverpool have also joined the race and are now in pole position to sign the 26-year-old.

WHAT HAPPENED?

As per the report, Atalanta are ready to sell the Dutch international but would prefer to see him go to a club outside of Italy as they wish not to aid a direct rival in their bid to revive. Atalanta are reportedly asking for €60 million (£51m/$65m) in direct transfer fees, an amount that is viewed as too high by the Bianconeri.
