Lionel Messi's Inter Miami hires former Arsenal and Barcelona chief into front-office role

Inter Miami on Monday announced a change-up in their front office. The Herons named former Barcelona and Arsenal chief Raúl Sanllehí, as well as Xavier Asensi, as Co-Presidents of the organization. Sanllehí will serve as President of Football Operations and Asensi as President of Business Operations.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Sanllehí was Director of Football at Barcelona for 11 years from 2008-2019, when stars such as Messi, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba were playing for the Catalan club.Additionally, during that same span, he worked closely with current Miami coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino. They will all be reunited at the South Beach club.
