<p>Mullin brought his usual blend of passion and energy to proceedings after being introduced in the second half, and was involved in one flashpoint that sparked a mass melee. He tangled with Blues defender Alex Cochrane, leaving both on the turf.</p>

He quickly thought better of it and has since posted on social media, alongside a video of the incident in question: “I know what it looks like… but it didn’t happen. WHAT MULLIN SAID

<p>Players from both sides – <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-james-mcclean-league-one-birmingham-city/blt008fc9ead1a18008" target="_blank">including James McClean</a> – were booked in the aftermath of the skirmish that unfolded, with Birmingham captain Krystian Bielik later being sent off.
