Ashworth has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/arsenal-set-sights-on-dan-ashworth-after-shock-early-departure-man-utd-gunners-fill-sporting-director-void-left-by-edu/bltfde15cd441a1aaa7" target="_blank">since been linked with a move to Arsenal to replace Edu</a>.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>The decision to axe Ashworth so early into his United career has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/sir-jim-ratcliffe-embarrassing-ineos-man-utd-shambles-dan-ashworth-relegation/bltad550dee3d2848ae" target="_blank">drawn plenty of criticism from fans</a>, while new manager <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ruben-amorim-breaks-silence-dan-ashworth-shock-exit-man-utd-boss-ineos-vision/bltc1c2d2cc47544e60#csad47ccd7de054bd0" target="_blank">Ruben Amorim has admitted it's "not the best situation."</a> Former Red Devils striker Louis Saha has now had his say and believes Ratcliffe is playing a "dangerous game" at Old Trafford when it comes to decisions regarding the long-term health of Manchester United.</p>

There are people behind these roles and you shouldn’t be making silly decisions based on your ego. This is not the right time for it.”</p>

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

<p>Ashworth's exit is not the only big call made by Ratcliffe recently, with the INEOS owner also willing to sanction the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-man-utd-determined-force-marcus-rashford-out-cultural-reboot-ruben-amorim-sir-jim-ratcliffe-january-transfer-ideal/blt12a3e4b84c7f787f#cs81d7d4ee0873bc34" target="_blank">sale of Marcus Rashford as part of a "cultural reboot" at the club</a>.
