<p>The record-breaking European Championship winger <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/explained-why-barcelona-confident-new-lamine-yamal-contract-wonderkid-deal-1-billion-release-clause-2026/blt20c47da5f3f29969" target="_blank">has been working on a youth deal in Catalunya</a>. He is unable to sign a long-term agreement until celebrating his 18th birthday. That point will be reached on July 13.</p>

That means his previous contract will be ripped up as a hefty salary increase is secured.</p>
