However, <a href="https://x.com/partidazocope/status/1911531876931764609" target="_blank">Spanish outlet <em>COPE</em></a> has now reported that Mbappe is likely to get away with a suspension of just one match as referee Cesar Soto Grado noted down that the forward was challenging for the ball when he went in.</p>

<p>If the incident between Mbappe and Blanco had been viewed as a serious offence, the Frenchman's ban could have seen him miss out on Real Madrid's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26 as suspensions handed out in La Liga are applicable in all domestic competitions as per the Spanish federation's regulations.</p>
