WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Mbappe has already laid down his legacy on the sport despite still only being at the young age of 25. He has one World Cup to his name and also possibly the greatest performance in a World Cup final, along with 15 domestic trophies with Paris Saint-Germain, as possibly their best player ever. The Frenchman has received a lot of criticism for his inability to win the Champions League so far in his career and has only come close once, in 2020, when PSG lost in the final to Bayern Munich.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 25-year-old is currently participating in the French national team camp in preparation for the upcoming European Championship in Germany. Les Bleus will head into the tournament as one of the favourites to win the competition and they will be hoping Mbappe can turn up for Didier Deschamps' side as he has so often, before he officially touches down in Madrid ahead of the 2024-25 season.
