After Lee Kang-in scored Paris Saint-Germain's opening goal in the third minute of the match, Mbappe doubled the lead at the stroke of halftime to seal the Trophee des Champions title in his club's favour. The mercurial French forward's strike against Toulouse was his 111th goal at the Parc des Princes which is the most scored at the venue by any player in history. Edinson Cavani previously held the record for scoring the most goals at the stadium as he netted 110 times between 2013 and 2020.

The 25-year-old has entered the final six months of his PSG contract and is linked with a move away from the club in the summer. While Real Madrid are favourites to secure the star player's signature, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/liverpool-kylian-mbappe-transfer-real-madrid/blt1f424c505468f86a" target="_blank">Liverpool have recently emerged</a> as a potential candidate to sign the French star.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The PSG star, though, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/agreement-psg-kylian-mbappe-cryptic-update-future-areal-madrid-transfer-speculation/blt80c6e8056ae93ad7#cs1a9d4afd5dbffc93" target="_blank">refused to comment</a> on his future after lifting his 14th trophy for the club on Wednesday as he claimed that he is focused on winning more accolades with the club.
